Randers Rørindustri is a manufacturing company based in Denmark, specializing in the processing of metal tubes. As part of the company’s production process, metal tubes are bent and formed into various shapes and sizes. The finished components are then handled and palletized.

To reduce manual handling while maintaining an efficient production flow, Randers Rørindustri sought an automated solution capable of palletizing metal tubes directly from the tube bending machine. The process involves numerous repetitive lifting and handling tasks, making it well-suited for robotic automation.

For this application, we developed an automation solution based on a UR10e robot from Universal Robots. Robot Nordic is also a certified system integrator for Universal Robots. The robot was integrated alongside the tube bending machine, and with its custom-designed tool, it is capable of palletizing components of different dimensions.

The result is a flexible automation solution that seamlessly integrates robotic technology with the existing production equipment, automating repetitive and physically demanding handling tasks while ensuring stable and reliable operation.
