Automated supply of cardboard at Orkla
For Orkla, we developed a flexible automation solution that ensures a stable and efficient supply of cardboard to the company’s packaging line.
The solution is based on a FANUC CRX-25iA cobot, which automatically handles and feeds cardboard sheets into the production line. Using an integrated search sensor, the robot detects the precise position of the cardboard stack before safely picking up the top sheet and delivering it to the packaging line.
The system handles three different types of cardboard, which are automatically selected and fed according to the productions requirements. This enables the packaging types to be changed without manual handling and with minimal changeover time.
The solution was developed with a focus on high reliability, precision and ease of operation. Automated handling reduces manual lifting, improves operator ergonomics and ensures a consisten supply to the packaging line.
